A one (1) day training programme with the session taking place between 9.30 – 4.30pm. The programme is delivered in an hands on, interactive format designed to engage students from the outset. Please note all registration, certification, refreshments are included as well as ample free parking.
Course Units/Overview
NEBOSH has worked in conjunction with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to delevlop this specialist qualification, reflecting the HSE’s approach to controlling the risks caused by workplace hazards and published HSE Guidance. allowing for organisations to have valuable in-house risk management expertise, upskill to carry out risk assessments in the right way / standard, and create a safe and healthy work environment.
Unit RAW1: Risk Assessment at Work
- Element 1 – Why Manage Health and Safety Risks
- Element 2 – Managing Risk: Identification, Understanding & Control
- Element 3 – Managing Risk: Sources of Information and the application of HSE Risk Assessment Tools
Unit RAW1: Practical Assessment – Approximately 60 Minutes
A practical assessment is completed at the end of the course, where delegates will be asked to watch a video of a real workplace and complete a risk assessment to identify how they would manage and prioritise the risks present.
This assessment will take place and be marked during the day of the course, do not worry we will provide you with further information and support during the training.
Who Should Attend?
Anyone involved in managing workplace health and safety risks including those who undertake risk assessments. The course content will be particularly useful to employers, managers, supervisors, SHE champions and union and health and safety representatives.
Upon completion of this course you will be equipped with the necessary skills to carry out an unaided incident investigation of a non-complex incident, and be awarded a NEBOSH accredited Certificate.
